What will you and your partner learn?
HypnoBirthing® is much more than just self hypnosis or
hypnotherapy for childbirth.

Key aspects of the programme:

Special relaxation and breathing techniques for a better birth
·
Simple but specific self- hypnosis
·
Massage techniques designed to optimise the release of your body’s own relaxants (endorphins)
·
You will learn how the body is designed to work in neuro-muscular harmony throughout labour
·
You will be given the opportunity to release any fears and anxieties you have about giving birth and how to overcome any previous traumatic births
·
The crucial role of dads-to-be: both in pre-birth practice exercises, and throughout childbirth itself
·
Most importantly, you'll learn how to stay in control of your birth

HypnoBirthing® doesn't mean you'll be in a trance or a sleep. Rather, you'll be able to chat, be in good spirits - totally relaxed, but fully in control. You'll always be aware of what is happening to you, and around you.
HypnoBirthing® doesn't require any particular belief system, or prior experience. Some of our mums (and especially their partners!) have been very sceptical at first - until they experience it for themselves.

In short, HypnoBirthing® allows you to experience birth in an atmosphere of calm relaxation, free of the fear and tension that prevents the birthing muscles from functioning as Nature intended.

HypnoBirthing® can't promise you a 'perfect' birth - no one can - but it can promise you a much, much more comfortable and relaxed birth than you would have had otherwise.
